Seemingly retired from college teaching for the last 20 years, but busier than ever, Judy has devoted a substantial amount of her time to supporting South Seattle College in a hundred different ways over the years.

This spring of 2025, we bid farewell to Patrice Smith, who served as Administrator for the South Seattle College Foundation for seven impactful years.

The Biella Foundation was formed by Mart Bert, an Italian immigrant born in Italy in 1914 and immigrated to the U.S. with his parents as a youngster.

Gary’s first involvement with South Seattle College began in 2007 when, after serving in executive leadership positions at Edmonds Community College, Seattle Central College, and Shoreline Community College, he became the Vice President of Instruction of South Seattle College.
