Student Emergency Grants

The South Seattle College Foundation, coupled with the Gates Endowed Emergency Grant, provides emergency fund grants to support student success, retention, and completion, enabling students to overcome temporary financial barriers.

Emergency Funds are a one-time award to assist students with unforeseen expenses that may cause a student to withdraw from school. The purpose is to support South Seattle College students through unexpected financial circumstances so that students will be able to focus on graduating.

  • Eligibility Guidelines

    • Be a current South Seattle College student

    • Be enrolled in one class or more

    • Be pursuing a Financial Aid eligible certificate, degree, or BAS program

    • Have completed at least one quarter at South Seattle College

    • Have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher

    • Must be applying for assistance for the current quarter
