We need you!

Volunteering as a scholarship reviewer is an easy and inspiring way to transform the lives of students at South Seattle College. Reviewers get to know amazing students, learn about their goals and dedication, and empower them to achieve their dreams.

Annually, we work alongside dozens of volunteers who dedicate their time and efforts in reviewing student applications for our annual scholarship program. Through our online reviewing system, volunteers are able to review applications at times and places that work best with their schedules. No previous experience is necessary.

    • Staff, faculty, alumni and community members are all eligible to volunteer.

    • Current South Seattle College students are not eligible. Alumni must have graduated at least one year prior.

    • The application review period takes place in May.

    • The process is 100% online, managed through our application portal.

    • SSCF will provide training.

    • Each reviewer will be assigned 20-30 applications.

    • Each application takes 10-15 minutes to review.

    • Reviewers will receive a rubric to use in scoring.
