A Path to our Future

Strategic planning is one of the most important activities a board undertakes, creating a values-aligned and forward-looking roadmap to advance our mission and vision.

Over the last 60 days, the Foundation has been working with Sara Levin and Kiana Scott to undertake this effort. The development of the plan is taking place in three phases. The first phase included interviews with a variety of stakeholders including board members, faculty and staff at SSC, community members, and donors.

In late May, the board spent time in retreat at the Northwest Wine Academy at the college to reflect on three areas of focus including who we serve, fundraising, and our relationship to South Seattle College. The work was both inspired and energizing.

What's next?

We will draw on the research and insights gathered from our work to date, interviews with stakeholders, and the activities from our recent board retreat to draft a strategic plan which will be presented to the Foundation board in July.

Once reviewed and adopted by the board, we look forward to sharing it with you. Together we will continue to ensure the college has the resources needed to deliver meaningful, high-impact education. Watch for more information to come!
