A Note from the Board Chair

Over the past several years, our foundation has experienced a period of transition and growth. Throughout this time, we have remained deeply committed to the careful and responsible stewardship of the funds entrusted to us. We are proud of the care and diligence with which donor resources have been managed, including increasing scholarships, program grants, and emergency funding to support South Seattle College.

As we look ahead, we are beginning an important new chapter. In the coming months, the foundation will be undertaking a strategic planning process that will include reviewing our mission, developing a clear vision for the future, and identifying priorities for the years ahead. A key part of this process will be reconnecting with the people and organizations who care deeply about this work.

On behalf of the South Seattle College Foundation Board, I am thrilled to introduce Sarah Dahleen as our new South Seattle College Foundation Director.

After a long and thorough search, we found the ideal mission‑driven leader to guide our foundation into its next phase. With more than 15 years of nonprofit advancement and leadership experience in Seattle, Sarah has successfully increased philanthropic revenue, strengthened community partnerships, and built sustainable development infrastructure - work that has amplified community voices and expanded access to quality education. A longtime West Seattle resident, Sarah and her husband raised their family there, and she knows and loves the diversity of people, schools, and neighborhoods that make it such a special place to call home.

We are confident that Sarah will advance the Foundation’s mission and impact, and we are eager for you to connect with her. Please don't hesitate to say hello: email Sarah Dahleen.

Also please make note that we have a new mailing address: South Seattle College Foundation PO Box 46656Seattle, WA 98146

Thank you for believing in South Seattle College students and the transformative power of education.

With gratitude,
Walter Reese | SSCF Board Chair
